Adobe Launches Firefly Mobile App & Collaborative AI Tools

Adobe has officially expanded its Firefly platform with a new mobile app, now available on both iOS and Android devices, enabling creators to generate images and videos on-the-go.
The Firefly mobile app lets users explore AI-driven creative possibilities anywhere, using simple text prompts for tasks such as Text-to-Image and Text-to-Video, as well as Image-to-Video generation. It also includes tools like Generative Fill to add or remove objects from images and Generative Expand to extend image sizes with AI-generated content.
The Firefly mobile app seamlessly integrates with Adobe’s Creative Cloud, syncing content automatically, allowing users to start projects on their mobile devices and continue them on desktop apps like Photoshop and Premiere Pro. This integration supports creative continuity across platforms and provides users with an enhanced creative workflow.
Firefly Boards: A New Tool for Collaborative Ideation
Alongside the new mobile app, Adobe introduces Firefly Boards, now in public beta, which offers a fresh approach to collaborative ideation for creative teams. Firefly Boards enables teams to work on various concepts simultaneously, utilizing AI-powered moodboards that integrate video, images, and other media types.
This tool is designed for creative professionals who want to remix video clips and generate new video footage using Adobe’s Firefly Video Model, along with third-party models from Google’s Veo 3, Luma AI’s Ray2, and Pika 2.2.
Firefly Boards adds value by enhancing collaboration across teams, enabling real-time edits and allowing the generation of new video and image content based on uploaded materials. The use of Black Forest Labs' Flux and OpenAI's image generation capabilities within Firefly Boards ensures that creative teams can iterate efficiently with conversational text prompts.

Unmatched Creative Flexibility with Expanded AI Ecosystem

New additions, including Ideogram 3.0, Luma’s Ray2, and Pika 2.2, bring diverse creative styles and media capabilities, now available in Firefly Boards and soon across the full Firefly app.
AI Transparency and Content Credentials
Adobe now adds Content Credentials to all AI-generated content from Firefly, ensuring transparency and creator control by showing whether Adobe or third-party models were used. With over 24 billion assets created, Firefly has seen 30% quarterly traffic growth and nearly doubled its paid subscriptions.
