Astera Labs Expands PCIe 6 Connectivity Portfolio to Accelerate AI Platform Deployments
Astera Labs, Inc., a global leader in semiconductor-based connectivity solutions for AI and cloud infrastructure, has ramped up production of its PCIe® 6 connectivity portfolio. This expansion aims to fast-track the deployment of modern AI platforms at scale.
The portfolio now includes new gearbox connectivity solutions, alongside existing fabric switches, retimers, and active cable modules, offering a comprehensive connectivity platform that enhances performance, utilization, and scalability for next-generation AI and general-compute systems.
The newly expanded portfolio also features PCIe 6 connectivity over optical media, offering greater flexibility for AI rack-scale distances, addressing the growing demand for higher compute, memory, networking, and storage data throughput. The move to PCIe 6 is driven by the need to optimize AI accelerators and GPUs for peak efficiency.

Astera Labs unveiled new PCIe 6.0 connectivity solutions for AI infrastructure, including Scorpio P-Series fabric switches for high-performance GPU-CPU data flow, Aries 6 retimers and cable modules for extended signal reach and reliability, and PCIe 6 over optics to scale AI accelerators across longer distances in data centers.
