Brisk Teaching Raises $5M to Expand AI-Powered EdTech Tools for K-12 Schools

Brisk Teaching, an AI-powered K–12 education Chrome extension, has closed on $5 million in seed capital, totaling its funding at $6.9 million. The round was completed by Owl Ventures, along with South Park Commons, Springbank Collective, Coherence Fund, and Coalition Operators.
The firm aims to utilize the funding to expand its staff, increase product development, and broaden its global reach, emphasizing time-saving for teachers and improving administrative school-wide solutions.
Introducing Brisk Boost: Personalized AI Support for Students
Concurrent with the funding announcement, Brisk Teaching introduced Brisk Boost, a new AI-powered tool that aims to deliver safe, personalized student learning experiences in line with teachers' content and objectives. Brisk Boost is a personal learning assistant that adjusts to every student's requirement while giving educators real-time feedback on student progress.
The product enables instructors to convert material such as online textbooks, YouTube clips, or slide presentations into interactive, personalized activities. Students get instant feedback, adaptive quizzes, and brainstorming questions, making learning more engaging and accessible.
Addressing Teacher Burnout Through Automation
Arman Jaffer, Founder and CEO, Brisk Teaching, said, “Educators are asked to do too much with too little. At Brisk, we're committed to making the profession sustainable by automating the 20 hours of digital work that teachers do each week—without compromising quality."
He added, “This funding will help us scale our new student-facing tool, Boost. Teachers will be able to offer their students personalized activities essential for differentiated learning, which would otherwise be too time-consuming to manage daily. Students will benefit from features like a brainstorming partner, checks for understanding, and real-time feedback on their work."

In just one year, Brisk Teaching has grown into a major player in the global K–12 edtech market, with 500,000 users across the 3.5 million US educators.
The platform has reportedly saved teachers over 10 million hours by streamlining administrative tasks such as grading, planning, and content creation.
With the average K–12 educator juggling more than 140 digital tools annually, Brisk sets itself apart by offering a free
Chrome extension that works within existing systems, like Google Workspace, learning management systems, and curriculum platforms to automate tasks teachers already do, without introducing yet another standalone platform.
Arman Jaffer noted that when ChatGPT was released, many school districts quickly banned it. He explained that during the last school year, educators explored how AI could help streamline repetitive tasks. This year, he said, teachers feel more confident about introducing safe, controlled AI tools to their students, adding that Boost is designed to meet that need.
