Cadence Unveils Millennium M2000 Supercomputer for AI-Accelerated Simulation

At its flagship event, CadenceLIVE Silicon Valley 2025, Cadence announced the launch of its groundbreaking Millennium M2000 Supercomputer. This new system, featuring NVIDIA Blackwell systems, is designed to provide AI-accelerated simulation at unprecedented speed and scale for applications spanning engineering and drug discovery.

AI-Optimized for Unmatched Performance

The Millennium M2000 Supercomputer integrates Cadence’s solvers with NVIDIA HGX B200 systems, RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell GPUs, and CUDA-X libraries. This powerful combination results in 80X higher performance than traditional CPU-based systems, drastically reducing simulation run times and enhancing AI-driven workloads.

The supercomputer is a game changer, offering 20X lower power usage, supporting AI infrastructure, physical AI systems, and drug design.

Advancements in AI and Engineering

The M2000 Supercomputer delivers substantial improvements in semiconductor design, 3D-IC design, autonomous system design, and life sciences. For example, AI-driven autonomous systems are simulated more efficiently, including autonomous transportation, drones, and robotics.

For semiconductor and 3D-IC designs, the supercomputer provides multi-physics capabilities, enabling engineers to produce simulations in a fraction of the time.

In the life sciences sector, Cadence’s Orion® Molecular Design Platform accelerates drug discovery by allowing pharmaceutical companies to explore more design scenarios within tighter deadlines, thus improving the pace of innovation.
