Chemours Partners with DataVolt to Enhance Data Center Efficiency with Liquid Cooling Solutions
Chemours and DataVolt partner to bring advanced liquid cooling technologies to AI data centers, cutting energy use, water consumption, and environmental impact.

The Chemours Company, a global leader in chemistry and advanced materials, has announced a strategic partnership with DataVolt, a designer and operator of sustainable digital infrastructure, to advance liquid cooling technologies for data centers.

This collaboration aims to increase the efficiency and sustainability of data centers by leveraging two-phase direct-to-chip and two-phase immersion cooling systems. With a growing demand for data centers driven by artificial intelligence (AI) and next-generation chips, this partnership seeks to address the critical need for more sustainable, high-performance infrastructure solutions.

Enhancing Cooling Solutions for Next-Generation Data Centers

The partnership leverages Chemours’ Opteon™ dielectric fluids—ultra-low global warming potential cooling solutions, to develop advanced technologies that boost data center performance. As demand rises, especially from AI workloads, scalable and energy-efficient cooling becomes critical.

Chemours’ Opteon™ two-phase immersion cooling fluid offers up to 90% energy savings for cooling, reduces total cost of ownership by up to 40%, nearly eliminates water usage, and enables greater computing capacity and density per square foot.

This collaboration is part of Chemours’ broader liquid cooling portfolio, which is designed to support the demands of AI-driven digital infrastructures while minimizing environmental impact. The two-phase immersion cooling technology enables data centers to operate at higher computing densities without compromising performance, making it a perfect fit for next-generation AI workloads.

Rajit Nanda, CEO of DataVolt, said, "We are excited to announce this agreement with Chemours to develop state-of-the-art solutions—including liquid cooling technologies–for our future-ready AI data centers.”

He added, “This collaboration underscores our commitment to be at the forefront of innovation as we serve the world’s insatiable need for eco-friendly, high-performance and mission critical AI factories that can support ever increasing compute densities while also being rapidly deployable, sustainable and cost effective.”

Driving Sustainability and Innovation

Both DataVolt and Chemours are dedicated to making sure that their solutions are not only high-performance but also sustainable.

The combination of Chemours' leading liquid cooling solutions with DataVolt's AI data centers is set to have a dramatic impact on the environment footprint of these important facilities.

Aside from reducing energy usage, Chemours' cooling technologies foster circularity, enabling the recovery and reuse of cooling fluids and heat, which further boosts sustainability.
