Ciklum Expands AI Engineering Footprint in India with New Hubs

British experience engineering company Ciklum is growing its operations in India by opening two new artificial intelligence centres in Pune and Chennai. With areas of 1,393.54 sqm and 2,322.58 sqm, the centres are much larger than the company's current offices in those cities. The move is not merely a change of location, it's about scaling up.

The company intends to double its Indian engineering staff. This will augment its ability to provide AI-focussed product development in numerous industries across the globe—finance, healthcare, retail, and tech being among them. All these new offices will be devoted innovation hubs specifically designed to power Ciklum's AI drives.

India as a Strategic Engine for Growth

India is no longer just a cost-effective talent pool—it’s now central to the company’s innovation strategy. According to Ciklum leadership, the decision to expand in Chennai and Pune stems from the exceptional depth of technical skill in these regions. The company sees India not just as a support base, but as a core driver of its global AI roadmap.

Ciklum operates with more than 4,000 employees globally and generates upwards of $225 million in annual revenue. At present, 80% of that revenue comes from its Europe, Middle East, and Africa operations, while the US accounts for the rest. However, company projections suggest that the US share is poised for strong growth in the near term.

Blending Industry and Academia

Beyond physical expansion, Ciklum is investing in talent development through academic collaboration. A partnership with SRM Easwari Engineering College is underway, aimed at creating a pipeline of AI-ready graduates. Students will benefit from hands-on exposure to real-world technologies while Ciklum gains access to skilled, job-ready professionals.

It’s not just about bigger offices or more engineers. It’s about building a foundation that allows Ciklum to deliver faster, smarter, and more scalable AI solutions—driven from India, designed for the world.
