Corscale, Affinius Partner with e2Companies to Launch Next-Gen Power Infrastructure

Corscale Data Centers and its investment partner Affinius Capital have partnered with e2Companies to deploy e2's patented R3Di® System throughout Corscale's US hyperscale data center builds.

The deal marks a significant step toward energy independence and AI-optimized infrastructure, positioning Corscale as the exclusive hyperscale provider to offer R3Di® systems over an initial 24-month term.

The R3Di® platform, short for “Ready” is engineered to support the demanding power profiles of next-generation AI hardware, including chips from Nvidia, AMD, and Intel. It delivers on-site prime power without requiring public utility upgrades or interconnection agreements, making it a turnkey solution for energy resilience in a market facing grid bottlenecks and five-year utility interconnect delays.

Deploying 300MW of Independent Energy

While there’s no minimum purchase requirement, the initial scope of the partnership is expected to exceed 300MW of R3Di® deployment to serve Corscale’s rapidly expanding $25 billion project pipeline.

Corscale’s CTO Nic Bustamante emphasized the “building-as-a-machine” approach, aimed at supporting high-density AI racks, some surpassing 1MW per rack with scalable and sustainable infrastructure.

This alliance allows Corscale to integrate e2’s Virtual Utility® system, which includes Grove365®, a centralized operations hub offering predictive analytics, real-time monitoring, and demand-side energy modeling. Grove365® already manages 490 assets on 165 sites and has tracked more than 90 million hours of grid monitoring.

AI Workloads Drive Shift to On-Site Power

The hyperscale and AI boom is transforming energy demands, with many data centers struggling to secure reliable power via conventional grid infrastructure. The R3Di® System steps in as a microgrid solution, enabling instantaneous load response and power quality shaping, essential for modern AI-driven compute environments.

James Richmond, CEO of e2Companies, said, “We are beyond excited about the prospect of partnering with Corscale and Affinius. They understand the technology required to power the AI-data center boom over the next decade.”

He added, “Every industry is being revolutionized by next-Gen AI capabilities. Our combined goal is to provide clean, reliable, and efficient energy to power this revolution.”

Sustainable Scale Meets Innovation

Backed by more than 40 years of investment experience, Affinius Capital’s CEO Len O’Donnell called the partnership a reflection of their commitment to innovation in infrastructure. This collaboration not only empowers Corscale to deliver high-performance, sustainable data centers, but it also provides a future-proof power layer for cloud and AI clients facing unprecedented demand growth.
