Digital Edge and B.Grimm Power Launch $1B AI-Focused Data Center Venture in Thailand

Digital Edge Holdings Pte. Ltd., a leading pan-Asian data center platform backed by Stonepeak, has entered into a strategic joint venture with B.Grimm Power Public Company Limited, one of Thailand’s foremost energy producers.
The partnership, Digital Edge B.Grimm (TH) Holdings Pte. Ltd., aims to develop next-generation hyperscale and AI-ready data center campuses across Thailand to meet surging demand for digital infrastructure in Southeast Asia.
This collaboration marks a $1 billion investment plan, anchored by a 100-megawatt data center project in Chonburi province within Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). The Chonburi campus, which has already received approval from the Thailand Board of Investment, is poised to become a critical hub for AI and cloud service providers expanding throughout Southeast Asia.
Thailand’s Booming Digital Infrastructure Market
Thailand is quickly emerging as a regional digital powerhouse, with cloud adoption, AI, and machine learning workloads growing at an unprecedented pace.
The data center market is projected to expand at a 25% CAGR through 2030, driven by the rising demand for scalable and energy-efficient facilities. The Thai government has committed over $2.7 billion in incentives to support data center and cloud investments, positioning the country as a digital hub for Southeast Asia.
State-of-the-Art Facilities for AI and Cloud Providers
The 100MW EEC project will feature high-density colocation, interconnectivity, and hybrid cloud solutions tailored to hyperscalers, AI workloads, and enterprise digital transformation.
The project’s construction timeline will be fast-tracked to meet the urgent needs of global tech companies scaling their AI infrastructure across the region. The campus is expected to be ready for service by Q4, 2026.
