Doubleword Secures €10.6 Million in Series A Funding

Doubleword, a startup based in Londxqon, has successfully raised €10.6 million in its Series A funding round, led by Dawn Capital. The round also attracted investments from K5 Tokyo Black, alongside several prominent angel investors, such as Clément Delangue (CEO of Hugging Face) and Florian Douetteau (CEO of Dataiku).

The funding is set to help Doubleword continue its efforts to offer enterprises a powerful self-hosted inference platform, allowing them to solve the challenges surrounding AI deployment at scale.

Solving Inference Challenges for Enterprises

For enterprises diving into AI, the challenge is clear: managing the complexity of inference at scale. Inference is the phase that turns data into actionable insights, but it can be a massive hurdle for companies looking to scale AI adoption. Doubleword has taken up the mantle of solving this problem. Their platform allows businesses to deploy AI models—whether open-source or proprietary—with a simple click, ensuring that enterprises don’t have to struggle with infrastructure management.

Building AI at scale doesn’t just involve creating models—it’s about ensuring those models deliver in real-world scenarios. With Doubleword, companies gain a solution that doesn’t force them to choose between flexibility, cost, or performance. The ease of deployment and scalability of their platform is aimed at simplifying the AI infrastructure process, making large-scale adoption more feasible for businesses.

Why Self-Hosting AI is a Game Changer

As the use of AI grows with increasing adoption, there's also a corresponding necessity for companies to retain control and ownership over their AI infrastructures. Self-hosting has emerged as the preferred choice, but along with this comes the intricacies of dealing with the underlying infrastructure. Doubleword seeks to eliminate that complexity by presenting enterprises with an end-to-end, seamless solution in which they don't need to worry about technical debt and instead can drive innovation.

Enterprises no longer need to be locked into a specific model provider. The platform allows for easy deployment of any AI model—tailored specifically to business needs—on private or cloud infrastructure. Doubleword’s focus on inference optimization ensures that businesses can scale according to their own roadmap, not that of their infrastructure provider.

Growing Reach and Strategic Partnerships

Doubleword's influence is already spreading across the UK. With strong collaborations with Snowflake and Dataiku in the US, Doubleword is becoming a player at the global stage. These collaborations underscore the increasing need for easy self-hosted AI solutions that do not burden companies with the nitty-gritties of model deployment.

Dataiku CEO Florian Douetteau noted that Doubleword's platform is revolutionizing the market by providing businesses with an easier means of hosting their AI infrastructure themselves. He feels that their platform is transforming the market by providing a simple solution that bypasses the usual issues enterprises experience when implementing AI.

The Future of Doubleword

The €10.6 million funding will fuel Doubleword’s expansion plans, particularly enhancing their platform and growing their global team. Products such as Doubleword's are becoming increasingly necessary as AI is becoming more central to business operations. Their system enables companies to implement AI more rapidly and less complicated, yet still scale for the future.

Doubleword is leading this movement, providing businesses with a self-hosted inference platform, accelerating the adoption rate of AI. By doing so, it is in the vanguard of developing enterprise AI systems.
