Ecosperity Week 2025 to Tackle Asia's Decarbonization Challenges

The 11th edition of Ecosperity Week is set to take place from 5 to 8 May 2025 at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore. Organized by Temasek, this influential event will bring together business leaders, policymakers, investors, and civil society from across the globe to explore critical solutions for accelerating Asia’s decarbonization.

The week will focus on achieving significant climate progress by 2030, offering a platform for discussions on technology, policy, and finance.

Keynote Speakers and Opening Remarks

The event will begin with the Opening Dinner on May 5, where Mr. Dilhan Pillay Sandrasegara, Executive Director & CEO of Temasek, will give the welcome address.

A fireside conversation between Mr. Bill Gates, Breakthrough Energy Founder, and Mr. Ravi Menon, Ambassador for Climate Action, Singapore, will discuss collaborations, innovation, and funding to enable Asia's decarbonization.

Highlights of Ecosperity Week 2025

The conference on May 6 will discuss Mitigation, Adaptation, & Resilience with regard to policies, technology, and financing options in an effort to balance economic stability with energy security.

The Southeast Asia Green Economy Report, by Bain & Company, Google, and Temasek, will be published, providing insights on how decarbonization can fuel economic growth in Southeast Asia while bridging the emissions gap.

On May 7, the Financing Asia’s Transition (FAST) Conference will bring attention to public-private partnerships and innovative financing mechanisms for Asia’s climate transition.

A key report, The Private Equity Opportunity in Climate Adaptation and Resilience, co-authored by BCG and Temasek, will be released, highlighting private equity’s role in funding climate adaptation.

Ecosperity Week will feature prominent speakers including, Ecosperity Week will host a distinguished lineup of speakers, including Mr. Teo Chee Hean, Senior Minister of Singapore; Ms. Rachel Kyte, Special Representative for Climate from the UK; Ms. Mary Schapiro, Vice Chair of the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero; and Mr. Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, Malaysia’s Minister of Natural Resources.

The conference will cover the intersection of policy, technology, and financing to enable large-scale solutions to decarbonization challenges, such as carbon markets and climate adaptation.

Strategic Partnerships and Initiatives

The event will also feature partner events from organizations such as AIGCC, AIIB, and GFANZ, alongside closed-door dialogues and workshops aimed at scaling climate technology and mobilizing capital for the energy transition.

Ecosperity Action Hub, introduced during the last edition, will again feature sessions on initiatives driven by sustainability.
