Edgnex Data Centers Unveils $2.3 Billion AI-Oriented Jakarta, Indonesia Facility
Edgnex Data Centers announces the $2.3 billion AI-driven data center project in Jakarta, Indonesia, a major step in advancing the region’s digital transformation.

Edgnex Data Centers, a leading global digital infrastructure player supported by the Damac Group, has announced the construction of a next-generation AI-driven data center in Jakarta, Indonesia. This development is Edgnex's second in the region and one of the largest AI-driven data center investments in Southeast Asia, with a future capacity of 144MW and an overall investment of $2.3 billion.

A Game-Changing Infrastructure for Indonesia's Digital Transformation

The data center will redefine next-generation infrastructure standards in Southeast Asia, and specifically in Indonesia, which is grappling with digital infrastructure gaps and hyperscale readiness. The data center will utilize high-density AI racks, essential in servicing the growing demand for AI workloads. Scheduled to start operations in December 2026, this ultra-modern center will be a major force in leading Indonesia's digital transformation, encouraging a shift from an analog to a strong AI-driven digital economy. The project is a direct answer to Indonesia's fast-tracking of AI use in many sectors.

Sustainability and Energy Efficiency at the Core

This huge initiative will also emphasize energy efficiency, with the aim of a 1.32 power usage effectiveness (PUE), a key measure for data center energy usage. The building will be constructed to Edgnex's international sustainability standards to maximize environmentally friendly credentials alongside the provision of the infrastructure required to drive AI development. Jakarta development is a component of Edgnex's larger expansion within Southeast Asia, wherein the company has already invested more than $3 billion in digital infrastructure investments.

Aside from this, Edgnex's initial data center in Indonesia, which is a 19.2MW facility, will be completed by 2026. With a regional goal of 300+ MW by 2026, Edgnex is ready to sustain its leadership in building the future of Southeast Asia's digital infrastructure.
