Ensonic Secures $14 Million in Funding to Expand Acoustic AI Technology

Ensonic, a Beijing-based industrial acoustic AI company, raised more than 100 million yuan (around $14 million) in its Series D funding. The Beijing Advanced Manufacturing Fund led the funding round. Other significant investors who participated included SAIF Partners China, BOCOM Capital, China Reform Securities Capital, and Jinpan Capital.
Ensonic intends to invest the newly raised funds in research and development (R&D), international expansion, and integrating its supply chain further. This development reflects the company's continued focus on developing its AI technologies further. The aim of this iz to expand its footprint in the global market.
Ensonic, established in 2017, has already taken up several hundred million yuan in aggregate funding from numerous backers. The backers include China Mobile's CMI New Economy Fund, Lenovo Capital, and Vertex Ventures China. The company has continually brought in funding to drive its growth and technological advancements.

Innovative Acoustic Monitoring for Predictive Maintenance
Ensonic specializes in non-contact acoustic monitoring systems that focus on predictive maintenance and health management of industrial equipment. The company’s AI models can detect faults and predict failures by analyzing sound signals produced during equipment operation. This improves maintenance efficiency and minimizes downtime. Ensonic uses 100 terabytes of acoustic data to train its AI systems.
Ensonic’s technology has been deployed across several industries, including power, rail transit, and energy. Big clients such as State Grid, CRRC, and Hong Kong’s MTR utilize its products, including transformer monitoring systems and high-speed rail noise detection devices. These solutions are designed to enhance safety, optimize operations, and ensure the longevity of critical infrastructure.
Plans for Expansion
Ensonic aims to leverage its expertise into new fields like automotive noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) testing and ultrasonic monitoring. Ensonic is also looking to enter the Southeast Asian market by establishing new alliances, further expanding its global presence.
