Gradient Network Raises $10M to Decentralize AI Infrastructure

Gradient Network, a pioneering company focused on creating decentralized AI infrastructure, has successfully completed its $10 million seed funding round.
Led by Pantera Capital and Multicoin Capital, with participation from HSG and other prominent investors, this funding will fuel the company's ambition to build an open-source intelligence foundation.
In conjunction with this milestone, Gradient Network has also unveiled a refreshed brand identity to better align with its core values of transparency, decentralization, and continuous innovation, reinforcing its commitment to shaping the future of AI.
The Growing Need for Decentralized AI
As artificial intelligence (AI) becomes increasingly integrated into society, concerns over privacy, equity, and power concentration are on the rise. Presently, AI capabilities are largely controlled by centralized platforms, raising significant issues related to privacy infringement, exclusion, and monopolistic power.
To address these challenges, Gradient Network advocates for decentralized AI, which spreads control over data, compute, and algorithm development across a diverse network of participants.
This approach promotes transparency, fairness, and security, while mitigating the risks associated with centralized systems. By decentralizing the AI infrastructure, Gradient Network aims to democratize access to AI, protect user privacy, and combat biases inherent in current systems.

Foundational Building Blocks: Lattica and Parallax
Gradient Network has launched two key components to enable decentralized AI: Lattica and Parallax. Lattica is a peer-to-peer data communication protocol that ensures secure, efficient data transfer across a global mesh of nodes, supporting decentralized compute.
Parallax enables decentralized inference by distributing large foundation models across devices, offering scalable, cost-efficient AI execution without relying on centralized cloud infrastructure.
Parallax, launching this week, enables scalable, decentralized AI by running large models across a global network of nodes. It ensures modular execution, strong data privacy, verifiable outputs, and consistent performance without relying on centralized systems.
