Incident.io Secures $62 Million to Transform Incident Management with AI Agents

Incident.io, a rapidly growing incident management platform used by tech giants Netflix, Linear, Ramp, and Etsy, has raised a $62 million Series B round of funding. The investment was led by Insight Partners, a global software investor, with additional support from Index Ventures and Point Nine Capital, taking the company's total funding past $96 million.
As artificial intelligence speeds up software creation and introduces new operational challenges, Incident.io is developing advanced AI agents designed to mimic top-performing engineers by diagnosing and resolving incidents in real-time.
Founded in 2021 by former Monzo engineers, Incident.io has already supported over 250,000 incidents, quickly becoming the go-to solution for modern engineering teams seeking efficient incident resolution and learning.
AI Agents: A New Ally in High-Stakes Situations
With the rapid pace of development enabled by large language models (LLMs), software incidents are becoming increasingly complex and frequent. Incident.io is addressing this reality by creating AI tools that do more than automate administrative tasks—they actively investigate issues, uncover root causes, and suggest or implement fixes.
Stephen Whitworth, co-founder and CEO of Incident.io., said, “The AI revolution is rewriting the rules of software, from how it's built, to how it breaks.”
He added, “We've built AI agents that stand shoulder-to-shoulder with you in the heat of an incident, analyzing, advising, and acting like your most dependable teammate."
The platform already automates labor-intensive steps such as logging notes, providing real-time updates, and compiling post-incident reports. Now, Incident.io is developing AI solutions to go further, helping engineering teams reduce downtime and regain valuable time lost to debugging.

Covering the Entire Incident Lifecycle
The funding announcement follows a year of major product growth. Incident.io recently launched its On-call service, providing a modern alternative to traditional paging tools like PagerDuty and Opsgenie. Within a year, nearly two-thirds of their clients adopted On-call, a trend expected to accelerate with Atlassian's decision to retire Opsgenie.
Incident.io now covers the entire incident response workflow—from initial on-call notifications to real-time coordination, resolution, and post-incident reviews. The platform integrates natively with popular tools such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, Linear, and GitHub, and enjoys a fast development cycle with weekly feature releases fueled by customer input.
Future Plans: Scaling AI and Expanding Globally
The latest investment will help Incident.io accelerate the development of investigative and autonomous AI agents by expanding engineering teams in London and San Francisco. It will also support global growth by strengthening the sales force, boosting customer success, and scaling marketing to meet rising demand.
