Invenergy and Meta Expand Clean Energy Partnership with New Agreements

Invenergy, a leader in clean energy solutions, and Meta Platforms, Inc. have announced the signing of four additional clean energy agreements, adding 791 megawatts (MW) of solar and wind energy to their collaboration.
This expansion builds upon the 1,000 MW of energy previously procured in 2024, pushing the total energy secured between the two companies to 1,800 MW. The new agreements support Meta's growing data center operations and clean energy commitments.
Details of the Agreements
The four new energy agreements, contracted through Invenergy's facilities across the U.S., will provide clean, domestically produced electricity to meet the increasing energy needs of Meta's AI and data center operations. The new projects will deliver power to the local grid, while Meta will receive the associated clean energy credits from the new generation capacity coming online.
The expansion adds four projects: two solar centers in Ohio (300 MW and 140 MW), one in Arkansas (155 MW) launching in 2027, and a 196 MW wind center in Texas set for 2028.
Commitment to Clean Energy and American Prosperity
Ted Romaine, Invenergy's Executive Vice President of Origination, said, “Winning the AI race requires reliable, cleaner, affordable energy and energy infrastructure - today and in the future.”
He added, “We're grateful for our continued relationship with Meta and look forward to future partnerships as we work to strengthen American energy independence and economic prosperity”

Boosting US Energy Infrastructure
The new agreements reflect the growing importance of sustainable energy solutions for technology companies and their role in reducing the carbon footprint of large-scale operations. With the projects spanning several US states, including Ohio, Arkansas, and Texas, the partnership also contributes to strengthening local energy infrastructure.
