Meta Empowers Indian Brands to Go Global with AI Tools
Meta launches AI tools to help Indian brands expand globally through personalized ads, Reels, and business messaging for cross-border e-commerce success.

Meta has launched a new initiative aimed at helping Indian businesses expand globally with AI-powered advertising tools, Business Messaging, and Reels. The move follows a study commissioned by Meta, conducted by Kantar, which found that nearly half of the 14,591 global shoppers surveyed made a cross-border purchase in the past six months.

The study also showed that 71% of these shoppers are open to trying new brands found online, and 72% would switch brands if presented with attractive promotions. Meta aims to tap into this opportunity by helping Indian brands deliver personalized, engaging experiences across borders.

Personalisation and Influencer Marketing Drive Discovery

According to Meta’s study, 62% of shoppers want personalized shopping tailored to their interests, and 61% expect a broad product selection. Additionally, 57% reported making more impulse purchases, driven by the ease and immersive nature of online shopping.

Social media plays a crucial role in global brand discovery. The report noted that 40% of shoppers follow content creators to find new international brands, while 31% discover products through influencers. This reinforces the importance of digital platforms in modern e-commerce strategies.

Meta's Tools Optimise Global Reach

Meta is offering solutions such as Advantage+ campaigns, bid multipliers, and AI-driven targeting tools to help Indian brands test international markets, reach profitable demographics, and optimize ad spending.

“Our platforms and tools are empowering Indian businesses to seamlessly connect with customers across the globe,” said Gaurav Jeet Singh, Director at Meta India. The company believes that personalization, convenience, and trust will be the key pillars driving success in cross-border e-commerce.
