Microsoft Unveils Agentic AI at GISEC Global 2025, Revolutionizing Cybersecurity with Autonomous Agents

At GISEC Global 2025, the largest cybersecurity event in the Middle East and Africa, Microsoft introduced the latest evolution of its Agentic AI technology. Designed to empower cybersecurity teams, these autonomous, AI-powered agents are equipped to detect, triage, and respond to threats more efficiently than ever.
As cybercriminals leverage AI to scale attacks and outpace traditional human defenders, Microsoft is leading the charge against AI-driven cybercrime, ensuring organizations can stay one step ahead.
The Launch of Microsoft Security Copilot Agents
Microsoft Security Copilot Agents are the new AI agents designed to work autonomously within specified safety limits, providing improved capabilities to security teams. The agents focus on prioritizing risks, revealing key insights, and performing mundane tasks, like repetitive analysis, to minimize alert fatigue by a large margin.
The agents constantly evolve with the changing threat landscape, enabling security teams to scale their response and increase resilience. In a first-of-its-kind demonstration, Microsoft partner Help AG showcased a Phishing Triage Agent to handle typical phishing alerts, empowering human defenders to prioritize sophisticated threats and proactive security.
AI and Cybersecurity in the Age of Generative AI
Naim Yazbeck, General Manager of Microsoft UAE, said, “As Generative AI reshapes industries, it also presents new challenges in cybersecurity. Cybercriminals are leveraging these advancements to develop more sophisticated methods, making it crucial for us to stay ahead with innovative solutions.
He added, “Microsoft is leading with a defense-first approach – embedding AI across our cybersecurity platforms to empower defenders with real-time intelligence, autonomous threat response, and greater operational agility.”

Microsoft's End-to-End Security Strategy
At GISEC 2025, Microsoft highlighted its large security ecosystem with Microsoft Security Copilot, a cybersecurity AI-powered assistant that detects threats better, automates investigation, and gives actionable insights. It integrates into Defender, Sentinel, and Intune, and helps organizations better fight emerging threats
In addition to its GISEC participation, Microsoft also highlighted the latest findings from its Cyber Signals report on the increasing threat posed by AI-facilitated deception. As cybercriminals leverage AI to develop hyper-realistic images, deceptive videos, cloned voices, and spoofed websites, conventional detection techniques are ever more useless.
Microsoft's security products, fueled by trillions of daily signals, lead the fight against these threats, blocking billions in attempted fraud and stopping over 49,000 fraudulent enrollments in one year alone.
Microsoft’s presence at GISEC Global 2025 included a dynamic Microsoft Hub, offering visitors an interactive experience of the company’s cybersecurity solutions.
