NamAIste: IIHM Unveils World’s First Hospitality GPT – A Made in India Innovation
IIHM launches NamAIste, the world’s first AI-powered GPT for hospitality, showcasing India's leadership in domain-specific innovation.

In a landmark moment for the global hospitality industry, the International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) has launched NamAIste – the world’s first Generative AI-powered knowledge engine explicitly tailored for hospitality. Hailed as a symbol of Viksit Bharat, NamAIste blends AI innovation with the spirit of Make in India.

Developed under the leadership of Dr. Suborno Bose, Chairman of IIHM and AI evangelist, NamAIste was introduced to a global audience of students, professionals, and stakeholders. Unlike generic chatbots or GPTs, NamAIste is a domain-specific Large Language Model (LLM) designed to offer inclusive, in-depth, and exclusive knowledge about hospitality trends, practices, and innovations.

A Global Leap for Indian Tech

Built in collaboration with Entiovi Technologies, NamAIste uses open-source technology but stands out for its knowledge base, which is drawn from over 60 countries. As demonstrated during the launch, the platform can answer a question about Japanese culinary history in Bengali, showcasing its multilingual and multicultural intelligence.

“This is more than just technology,” said Dr. Bose. “It’s a global mind-changer—a new way of reimagining hospitality education and professional excellence.”

Entiovi’s Director recalled how the idea began with a conversation in February and evolved into a robust AI engine that reflects India’s capability to lead globally. Dr. Bose emphasized, “If the US can have Google and China has DeepSeek, India now has NamAIste.”

He also underlined the importance of human connection in hospitality: “AI can’t replace the human factor. Our industry is about people, smiles, and experiences. AI will assist, not replace.”
