NVIDIA and Deutsche Telekom Unveil Germany’s First Industrial AI Cloud

Following stops at London Tech Week and GTC Paris at VivaTech, NVIDIA’s CEO Jensen Huang continued his European tour with a significant announcement in Germany.
In partnership with Deutsche Telekom, NVIDIA revealed plans to establish Europe’s first industrial AI cloud, a groundbreaking infrastructure aimed at accelerating manufacturing applications such as design, engineering, simulation, digital twins, and robotics.
Huang emphasized the pivotal role of AI in reshaping the future of manufacturing, stating, In the era of AI, every manufacturer needs two factories: one for making things, and one for creating the intelligence that powers them.”
This initiative is set to provide Germany with a launchpad to develop and implement AI-driven manufacturing processes across industries, contributing to the country’s goal of digital sovereignty.
Key Strategic Partnership for Technological Leadership
The AI cloud, set to be Germany’s larges AI deployment, marks a vital leap toward strengthening the country’s technological infrastructure. In its first phase, the facility will feature 10,000 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, including NVIDIA DGX B200 systems and RTX PRO Servers, as well as cutting-edge AI software and networking from NVIDIA.
NEURA Robotics, a global leader in cognitive robotics, will leverage these resources to power its state-of-the-art training centers for cognitive robots, exemplifying how AI can evolve and scale through advanced infrastructure.
Supporting Germany’s Industrial Ecosystem
Germany’s push for AI sovereignty is critical to maintaining its competitive edge. A Deloitte study highlights the growing demand for data center capacity, which is projected to triple in the next five years, necessitating a rapid expansion in infrastructure.
The AI factory will be integral to Germany’s industrial ecosystem, providing AI cloud computing resources to a wide range of industries and enterprises, from large companies to small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), known as the Mittelstand, as well as academia and research institutions.

AI Gigafactories: A Path to the Future
The AI industrial cloud is a critical step toward the establishment of AI gigafactories, a 100,000 GPU-powered initiative backed by the European Union and Germany. Set to launch in 2027, the gigafactory will provide state-of-the-art AI infrastructure and serve as a hub for high-performance computing. Enterprises, startups, researchers, and universities will benefit from access to accelerated computing resources, driving the adoption of AI-driven manufacturing practices and furthering Germany’s AI agenda.
The project supports Germany's sovereign AI infrastructure development path, which seeks to make the nation technologically independent while allowing local businesses to harness the maximum capability of AI and high-performance computing.
Developing AI Education and Upskilling Throughout Europe
NVIDIA will offer AI courses in Germany to train future professionals, supporting nearly 900 local startups and institutions through its Inception program. At the same time, European telecom providers are expanding AI infrastructure to power industry-wide applications and boost Europe’s global AI standing.
