OData Launches First Phase of New Data Center Campus in Querétaro, Mexico

Latin American data center company OData, owned by Aligned, has officially launched the first phase of its new data center campus, DC QR03, in Querétaro, Mexico as reported by DCD. The initial facility, with a capacity of 75MW, is located in the PyME Industrial Park in Querétaro, a key area for digital infrastructure development in Mexico.
Expansion Plans and Investment
At full build-out, the campus will include five buildings and a total IT capacity of 300MW. The entire project will see an investment of over $3 billion, with the total facility spanning approximately 275,000 sqm (or around 2.96 million sq ft). Once completed, the campus is expected to play a central role in strengthening Mexico’s digital infrastructure.
OData's CEO, Ricardo Alário, said, “With three anchor hyperscale clients already committed, QR03 is an established, highly connected campus and a critical interconnection hub for Querétaro and Mexico.”
He added, “With abundant power and a strong presence of major cloud and AI providers, we anticipate this campus will play a central role in the development of Mexico’s digital infrastructure.”
Delta³ Cooling Technology for Increased Power Density
A key feature of OData’s new campus is the introduction of Aligned's Delta Cube (Delta³) cooling solution, marking the first time this technology is being used in Mexico.
Designed to support power densities of up to 50kW per rack, Delta³ is already in use at OData’s facilities in Brazil and is expected to bring significant efficiency improvements to the new campus in Querétaro.
OData, originally founded in 2015 by Patria Investments, was acquired by Aligned Data Centers in May 2023. The company already operates data centers across several Latin American countries, including Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Mexico, with additional sites under development.
Notably, OData's QR01 campus began operations in 2022, and its QR02 campus followed in 2023. The firm is also actively working on a fourth campus in the Querétaro area.

Delta³ Cooling System Widely Adopted
Aligned’s Delta³ cooling solution, which was first introduced in OData’s Brazilian operations, is now being integrated into additional facilities, including Netrality's 1301 Fannin Street data center in Houston, Texas. In January 2024, Aligned launched an enhanced liquid cooling system, DeltaFlow~, which can be integrated with Delta³ to further optimize cooling efficiency.
