Onebrief Raises $20M, Hits $1.1B Valuation to Advance AI in Defense Tech

Onebrief, the leading software for military staff collaboration and operational planning, has announced the successful completion of a $20 million Series C extension, led by Battery Ventures.
This funding round increases the company’s valuation to $1.1 billion, up from the $650 million achieved just three months ago in the initial Series C round.
A Major Milestone for Defense Tech
This growth signifies a major achievement for Onebrief, positioning the company as the newest "unicorn" in the defense tech sector.
The funding will be used to bolster the company's efforts in enhancing wartime resilience, broadening reach, and integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into its platform to meet the evolving demands of modern warfare.
Grant Demaree, CEO of Onebrief, said, “Becoming the newest unicorn in a small group for defense tech is an incredible milestone.”
He added, “This new funding enables us to deepen our investments in wartime resilience, reach, and artificial intelligence (AI), so our platform can keep pace with the demands of modern conflict. Battery Ventures is the ideal partner to help us realize that vision. We’re pleased to partner with them, leveraging their experience in defense tech as we progress toward this next phase.”
Transforming Military Operations with AI
Onebrief’s platform is revolutionizing military staff collaboration by consolidating various elements of war planning into a single, integrated system. Historically, military staff work was fragmented, slow, and inefficient due to reliance on legacy tools.
This often resulted in time-consuming processes, such as building thousands of slides without version control or real-time coordination across commands. With Onebrief’s platform, military staff can work collaboratively, making the process faster, more efficient, and more effective.

Focus on Engineering and AI Advancements
The new funding will enable Onebrief to accelerate engineering and expand its infrastructure to support joint and allied operations worldwide. The platform aims to support up to 100,000 simultaneous collaborators while remaining operational under adversarial conditions.
Onebrief also plans to focus on advancing its AI capabilities to improve decision-making and user productivity. Current users report twice the efficiency and productivity gains using the platform, and with AI development, Onebrief intends to scale productivity by 100x within the next three years.
