Rad AI Secures $8M More in Series C as Top Health Systems Back Generative AI Push
Rad AI secures $8M more in Series C funding, partnering with leading U.S. health systems to scale generative AI for radiology and care coordination.

Rad AI has clinched an additional $8 million in strategic investment, bringing its Series C total to $68 million — and gaining serious traction from four of the nation’s most prominent health systems in the process.

Advocate Health, Memorial Hermann Health System, Corewell Health, and Atlantic Health System aren’t just financial backers. They're implementation partners, signaling a deep, shared commitment to deploy generative AI at scale across hospitals and clinics nationwide.

Generative AI Finds Its Clinical Footing

The latest capital infusion builds on Rad AI’s momentum as one of the first startups to achieve widespread clinical adoption of generative AI in healthcare. With its tools now supporting radiologists who handle nearly half of all U.S. imaging volume, Rad AI has emerged as a central player in efforts to streamline workflows, reduce burnout, and improve patient outcomes.

Its flagship offerings — including Rad AI Impressions, Reporting, and Continuity — tackle the full lifecycle of radiology reporting and follow-up care. Together, they’ve already proven to reduce dictation time by up to 90%, double reporting speeds, and boost follow-up compliance from 30% to over 75%.

In short: the technology is working, and hospitals are taking notice.

Not Just Backers — Strategic Collaborators

What sets this funding round apart is who’s behind it. Each participating health system brings more than money to the table — they bring insight, real-world scale, and direct integration opportunities.

At Advocate Health, Chief Digital and AI Officer Andy Crowder emphasized that AI is being woven directly into radiologist workflows across the enterprise. The goal: enhance efficiency without compromising oversight, ultimately improving both care quality and provider well-being.

Meanwhile, Memorial Hermann sees AI not just as a tech trend, but as a core transformation lever.

For Corewell Health Ventures, the investment aligns with a broader vision of empowering clinicians with technology that reduces cognitive load and makes care delivery more efficient. Atlantic Health System echoed that sentiment through its Venture Studio, focused on addressing systemic burdens while building healthier communities.

Delivering Real-Time Impact

Unlike many AI initiatives still stuck in pilot mode, Rad AI’s tools are already in use at scale. Impressions, the first generative AI product broadly adopted in radiology, automates report conclusions and saves radiologists an average of an hour per shift.

Rad AI Reporting layers in automation and structure — extracting unchanged findings with a single command and autofilling templates — while Continuity ensures that incidental findings don't get lost in follow-up limbo.

Together, these tools close the loop from diagnosis to action, reducing delays and ensuring more patients get the care they need, when they need it.

Positioning for the Future

The additional funding extends Rad AI’s $60 million Series C round announced earlier this year. With backing from not just investors but also healthcare operators on the front lines, Rad AI is uniquely positioned to scale its platform in a way few AI companies can.

Already recognized by Deloitte, Accenture, CB Insights, and AuntMinnie as a category leader, Rad AI is now doubling down — not just on technology, but on trust, outcomes, and real-world impact.
