Red Hat, the global leader in open-source solutions, introduced Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10, the latest evolution of its enterprise Linux platform designed to meet the dynamic needs of hybrid cloud environments and AI workloads.

Key Features and Innovations

Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 10 introduces several key innovations aimed at simplifying Linux management, strengthening security, and optimizing infrastructure for AI and hybrid cloud workloads.

The AI-powered Lightspeed assistant brings generative AI into the platform, offering natural language guidance for Linux administration to bridge the skills gap. RHEL 10 also pioneers quantum-resilient security by integrating NIST-aligned post-quantum cryptography standards, safeguarding data against future quantum threats.

A new image mode supports unified hybrid cloud management, reducing configuration drift and streamlining OS and application workflows. Designed for AI, RHEL 10 includes optimized pre-tuned images for major cloud providers and integrates with Red Hat’s AI solutions.

It also expands support with a developer preview for RISC-V, targeting emerging AI use cases on open-source hardware. Lastly, enhanced security controls via the Security Select Add-On offer users greater CVE management and compliance flexibility.
