Schneider Electric to Invest $700M for AI and Energy Expansion

Schneider Electric, an MNC specializing in digital energy management and automation, announced plans to invest more than $700 million in its US operations by 2027. This major expansion comes as the nation faces soaring energy demand driven by AI, data centers, and domestic manufacturing growth.
Building on previous spending in 2023 and 2024 to strengthen its North American supply chain, Schneider Electric’s total investment in the US will surpass $1 billion this decade. The company aims to meet rising customer demand for energy-efficient and reliable infrastructure by expanding its manufacturing footprint and workforce.
The latest investment is expected to create more than 1,000 new jobs, focusing on hiring US veterans and service members transitioning out of the military. New roles will include engineers, developers, technical analysts, and advanced manufacturing specialists.
Aamir Paul, President of North America Operations for Schneider Electric, said, “We stand at an inflection point for the technology and industrial sectors in the U.S., driven by incredible AI growth and unprecedented energy demand. To lead the transformation ahead, we must be agile and act now to advance ambitious digitalization and efficiency goals to make an impact for generations to come.”
