Tamil Nadu Advances Tech & Health Sectors with ₹475 Cr Investments Driving Industrial Growth in the state

According to reports by certain media outlets, M.K. Stalin, the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, initiated 475 crore projects to improve infrastructure and healthcare. The government's goal of making Tamil Nadu a high-tech hub and a leader in healthcare production is reflected in the investments made in the fields of robotics manufacturing and oxygen production.
Robotics Facility Boosts ‘Make in Tamil Nadu’ Vision
One of the major achievements of this initiative is the beginning of Reliance Automation Solutions' new robotics unit in Chengalpattu district. The investment is said to be of 300 crores, and it can enhance India’s ability to have better automation and robotics, other than creating a significant amount of jobs.
The plan is said to manufacture robotic arms and automation systems for industries dealing with sectors related to automotive, electronics, and heavy manufacturing. The initiative supports the innovation, boosts Industry 4.0 adoption, and reduces dependency on the technologies that are imported

New Oxygen Units to be started
To offset the surge in demand for medical oxygen during the pandemic, CM Stalin also ordered oxygen production units set up with a total investment of ₹175 crore. The units have been positioned strategically to offer supply chain robustness in the event of public health crises.
The oxygen plants must produce hundreds of metric tonnes of medical-grade oxygen daily, supporting the emergency preparedness of Tamil Nadu's health infrastructure.

With the goal of attracting investments in cutting-edge technology and bringing about industrial prosperity in an inclusive manner 'Industrial Policy 2021' of Tamil Nadu includes these initiatives. The state government is in favor of creating a future-proof economy with smart infrastructure and cutting-edge manufacturing.
Chief Minister Stalin had to state his commitment to fostering technological advancement, creating jobs, and creating an environment that is conducive to business. He gave importance to the fact when he stated that by making this investment, Tamil Nadu re-establishes itself as a desirable South Asian investment destination.
