In a historic move, former US President Donald Trump announced a sweeping $600 billion economic partnership with Saudi Arabia, calling it a "cornerstone" of his America First trade and investment agenda. The announcement came from Riyadh and marked a major expansion in US-Saudi ties across key sectors like artificial intelligence, defense, energy, and healthcare.

The White House described the agreement as “transformative,” signaling a deepening of bilateral cooperation with long-term economic and strategic implications.

AI, Tech, and Energy Take the Spotlight

At the core of the agreement is a $20 billion investment by Saudi data infrastructure firm DataVolt. The funds will go toward building AI data centers and energy facilities across the United States, reinforcing US infrastructure while accelerating AI deployment.

In addition, $80 billion in joint investments will be made by top American tech firms such as Google, Oracle, Salesforce, AMD, and Uber. These partnerships will focus on developing next-generation technologies, expanding innovation in both countries.

Big Wins for US Industry and Manufacturing

Several American engineering giants, including Jacobs, Parsons, AECOM, and Hill International, will lead major Saudi infrastructure projects like King Salman International Airport, Qiddiya City, and The Vault. These projects are expected to generate over $2 billion in US services exports.

Energy firm GE Vernova has secured $14.2 billion in contracts for gas turbines and energy systems, while Boeing will deliver 737-8 aircraft worth $4.8 billion to AviLease, a Saudi leasing company.

On the manufacturing front, Shamekh IV Solutions plans to invest $5.8 billion, including building a Michigan-based facility for producing high-capacity IV fluids. This move is expected to create jobs and strengthen US-based healthcare production.

Record-Breaking Defense Agreement

The deal also includes a $142 billion defense package, the largest in US history. It spans air and missile defense, naval systems, space operations, and military modernization. Over a dozen American defense firms are expected to benefit, with additional contracts for training and capacity-building within Saudi Arabia’s military forces.

This expansive agreement positions the US as a long-term partner in Saudi Arabia’s modernization efforts, while channeling billions back into the American economy.
