Aramex Rolls Out AI Campaign to Combat Delivery Scams
Aramex’s AI-generated video teaches users how to identify and avoid parcel delivery scams across the Middle East.

Aramex, a global leader in transportation and logistics, has introduced a pioneering AI-generated video campaign to protect customers against fraud. The campaign, designed to reach customers throughout the Middle East, aims to combat parcel delivery scams, particularly during the holiday season. Through the video, customers learn how to distinguish real communications from forgeries by employing AI to create spoofed Aramex branding using authentic company materials, which enhances the topic as both an engaging and educational matter.

Emerging Risk of Fraud in the Middle East

Phishing and impersonation scams have increased in major Middle Eastern markets such as the UAE, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia. Cybersecurity reports indicate that 90% of cybersecurity breaches in 2024 are caused by phishing incidents. Aramex customers have been among the most targeted by these scams, with impersonators posing as the company via SMS, email, and social media to seek payment or personal details.

Empowering Customers with Essential Safety Precautions

Aramex Group CMO Mike Rich noted that conventional awareness tactics are no longer effective in the face of increasingly sophisticated scams. Using AI-generated content, Aramex aims to empower customers with information on red flags and how to stay safe. The campaign highlights three crucial safety precautions: verifying communications through official Aramex channels, avoiding payments from unverified links, and exercising caution with social media offers. Since the release of the video, Aramex has seen a 28% increase in downloads of its official mobile app, which facilitates secure tracking, payments, and customer care.
