Iberdrola Launches East-West Digital at the 2025 Qatar Economic Forum

Iberdrola has officially unveiled East-West Digital, a new company dedicated to developing and bringing to market AI-driven digital solutions focused on sustainability, as reported by SolarQuarter.
The announcement was made during a press conference at the 2025 Qatar Economic Forum, powered by Bloomberg. The launch marks a significant step in Iberdrola's ongoing commitment to innovation in the energy and digital sectors.
Building on a Legacy of Innovation
East-West Digital leverages the technologies and innovations developed by Iberdrola Innovation Middle East, Iberdrola's international digital innovation center based at Qatar Science and Technology Park since 2016.
The firm strives to utilize advanced AI technologies in order to boost sustainability initiatives around the world, further strengthening Iberdrola's position in promoting digital solutions for the energy transition.
Key Stakeholder Insights
The launch event was attended by senior dignitaries, business leaders, and media representatives. Among the notable attendees were H.E. Dr. Álvaro Renedo Zalba, Ambassador of Spain to Qatar; Sheikh Ali Alwaleed Al-Thani, CEO of Invest Qatar; Pedro Azagra, CEO of Avangrid; and Santiago Bañales, Managing Director of Iberdrola Innovation Middle East and CEO of East-West Digital.

According to SOlarQuarter, East-West Digital will concentrate on taking a portfolio of AI-enabled digital offerings to market, both for business and government customers.
