Irish Start-up Assiduous Secures €1M to Launch AI-Driven Finance Platform

Irish fintech start-up Assiduous Corp Ltd has raised €1 million in funding to launch its AI-powered corporate finance platform, Corporate Finance Autopilot™. Founded by investment bankers Fergal Meegan and Barry Murphy, the Dublin-based company aims to revolutionize how small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) engage with capital markets.

Bridging SMEs and Capital Markets

The company describes its flagship product as a "virtual corporate finance service-as-a-software" solution. Built using advanced AI models, the platform supports businesses through the full lifecycle of strategic planning, financing, and liquidity transactions.

According to the founders, the goal is to democratize access to financial advisory services traditionally limited to large corporations. By embedding corporate finance expertise into an intuitive platform, the tool helps SMEs prepare for high-value corporate actions with greater efficiency.

Powered by AI and Backed by Enterprise Ireland

The €1 million investment was secured through a private funding round, with support from Enterprise Ireland’s High-Potential Start-Up (HPSU) programme. The funds will be used to advance the product roadmap through 2025 and 2026, expand the company’s technical team, and integrate the latest advances in agentic AI.

Enterprise Ireland spokespersons noted that Assiduous represents the kind of AI-native innovation that aligns with their mission to support high-growth start-ups in Ireland.

Conor O'Donovan, Enterprise Ireland's Head of Start-ups, referred to Assiduous as a prime example of an innovative Irish start-up using cutting-edge technology to address a major market void. He added that the firm's growth strategy is in line with Enterprise Ireland's five-year strategy to help Irish SMEs scale up to become global businesses.

Looking Ahead

CEO Fergal Meegan emphasized the broader impact of AI in professional services, stating that the potential value it could unlock for business owners is still largely untapped. He explained that Assiduous aims to realize this value by integrating domain expertise directly into its application layer.

With a blend of AI innovation and financial domain knowledge, Assiduous is positioning itself to become a key player in the evolving landscape of digital finance solutions for SMEs.
