Wison & SUPCON Partner for AI-Driven Floating Energy Solutions
Wison New Energies and SUPCON Technology collaborate to advance AI-driven floating energy solutions, revolutionizing FLNG and FPSO technologies.

Wison New Energies (WNE), a leading provider of clean energy services in China, has entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with SUPCON Technology, a provider of intelligent manufacturing solutions, as reported by Offshore Energy.

This partnership aims to leverage artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance the development of floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) and floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) solutions.

Recognizing AI as a critical enabler for achieving intelligent, unmanned, and efficient low-carbon operations, Wison will integrate SUPCON’s advanced AI and industrial robotics technologies into its FLNG and FPSO solutions.

The companies believe this will lead to the creation of smarter, safer, and more efficient floating energy solutions, driving the next wave of intelligent transformation in the energy sector.

Joint Development of Core Solutions

According to Offshore Energy, a technical team from both companies will collaborate to share resources, data, and expertise to address the challenges of applying industrial AI in complex offshore environments. The goal is to co-develop proprietary solutions with intellectual property focused on AI-driven floating energy technologies.

Enhancing Market Competitiveness

This partnership is expected to strengthen the technological capabilities and market competitiveness of both firms, marking a significant step in the integration of clean energy technology with AI. The collaboration is seen as a way to create Chinese clean energy solutions, positioning Chinese companies to be more competitive in global markets.

Recent Developments in FLNG

WNE has been actively involved in FLNG developments, recently winning a detailed feasibility study (DFS) for a new FLNG facility offshore Suriname, to be operated by Petronas. This agreement with SUPCON further bolsters Wison's clean energy innovations, with a focus on low-carbon and AI-integrated floating energy solutions.
